How to Make Grandma's Honey Cookies


  1. In your large mixer bowl ,combine butter,honey and vanilla and beat until well blended.
  2. Turn mixer to low and gradually add the flour and salt; mix in the nuts and mix until dough forms. Remove bowl with dough and cover with plastic wrap; chill in refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat oven to 325^. With a cookie scoop or lightly floured hands, shape dough into small balls.
    Place them on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
    Press the balls down gently with the tines of a fork(like for peanut butter cookies).;hold side of ball while doing this.
  4. Bake for 18 ,until golden.
    Remove to wire rack to cool. Repeat with remaining dough.
    When cool dust with powdered sugar or frosting drizzle ,if desired.
