Grandma's recipe. Similar to "Preacher Cookies" but has more of a bite to it:) I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 c
    rolled oats
  • 1/2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1
    egg

How to Make Grandma's Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets.
  2. Stir together the flower, cocoa, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
  4. Beat in a large egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Stir in the mix from Step #2 along with the rolled oats and chocolate chips.
  6. Place cookies on cookie sheet (1/2 tbsp each) and bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
