Grandma's Butter Cookies

Barbara Linder

My grandmother didn't use a measuring cup so thankfully 1 of my aunts stood there while she cooked and measured everything as my grandmother made these.

How to Make Grandma's Butter Cookies

  1. Cream butter and margarine together. Mix in sugar. Add sifted flour slowly. Add cinnamon.
  2. Form small balls and press using your fingers to flatten them to 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Bake in a 300 degree oven slowly for about 20 minutes. They should be brown and crunchy. The fingerprints just make them more homey.
