Ingredients

brown sugar
1/2 cup
sugar
1 cup
butter
3
eggs
2 1/2 tsp
vanilla
1/8 tsp
almond extract
3 cups
flour
1/4 tsp
ground allspice
2 1/2 tsp
ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp
ground cloves
1/4 tsp
tumeric powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
2 tsp
baking powder
1 cup
finely chopped pecans
2 8oz pkg
dates finely chopped

How to Make Grandma Pesek's Date Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream brown sugar sugar and butter
  • 2Add 3 egg vanilla extract and almond extract to mix and cream together
  • 3Add all dry ingredients together with flour
  • 4Mix 1/2 dry ingredients together until well blended add remaining dry ingredients until well blended
  • 5Add dates and pecans mix togather stir until well blended
  • 6Drop by tsp fulls onto ungreased cookie sheet
  • 7Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 for softer cookies only bake 10 minutes
