    brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup
  • 1 cup
  • 3
  • 2 1/2 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
    almond extract
  • 3 cups
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground allspice
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp
    tumeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 cup
    finely chopped pecans
  • 2 8oz pkg
    dates finely chopped

How to Make Grandma Pesek's Date Cookies


  1. Cream brown sugar sugar and butter
  2. Add 3 egg vanilla extract and almond extract to mix and cream together
  3. Add all dry ingredients together with flour
  4. Mix 1/2 dry ingredients together until well blended add remaining dry ingredients until well blended
  5. Add dates and pecans mix togather stir until well blended
  6. Drop by tsp fulls onto ungreased cookie sheet
  7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 for softer cookies only bake 10 minutes
