Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 - square melted baking chocolate
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 9 - double graham crackers
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

How To Make graham cracky bars

  • Step 1
    Sift together flour,salt and soda and set aside. Cream the shortening and sugar and add the eggs, beat well. Combine the milk and vanilla. Add this alternately with the dry ingredients and then the creamed mixture. Place 1/3 of the batter in another bowl and add the melted baking chocolate and the nuts. Spread in a buttered 9x13-inch pan. Place graham crackers over the batter in the pan. Add the chocolate chips to the remaining 2/3 of batter and spread over the crackers. Bake in 375^ oven for 20-25 minutes. Cool and cut in bars or squares.
