2Grease the cookie sheets with the butter wrappers, the tiny bit of butter that is left on the wrapper worker great and keeps your hands clean too
3In a medium bowl, sift together the flour,
baking soda and salt and set aside
4In a medium bowl cream together with a wooden spoon the butter, both sugars, beat in the vanilla, the egg plus the egg yolk, until light and creamy. Take the bowl with the sifted items and pour into this bowl and mix them in just until blended, stir in the chips and walnuts.
5Take 2 tablespoons and drop on to a cool cookie sheet space about 3" apart
Bake for 15 minutes leave on the cookie sheet for 10 minutes then take them off to cool.
