Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box yellow butter cake mix or yellow cake mix (13.25-15.25 ounces)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
How To Make goey butter cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or a handheld mixer beat the butter until lump-free and smooth.

Step 3Add the cream cheese and beat on medium speed until blended and creamy.

Step 4Reduce the speed to medium-low and add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until incorporated.

Step 5Add the cake mix and continue mixing until blended, scraping down the bowl and beater as needed. The dough will be thick and slightly sticky.

Step 6Using a 1 1/2 tablespoon cookie scoop dipped in the powdered sugar, scoop the dough out and roll it through the powdered sugar. Place the cookie balls about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.

Step 7Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges.
