1/2 cunsalted butter softened

8 ozcream cheese softened

1 lgegg, room temperature

1 tspvanilla extract

1 boxyellow butter cake mix or yellow cake mix (13.25-15.25 ounces)

1/2 cpowdered sugar
How To Make goey butter cookies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

2Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or a handheld mixer beat the butter until lump-free and smooth.

3Add the cream cheese and beat on medium speed until blended and creamy.

4Reduce the speed to medium-low and add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until incorporated.

5Add the cake mix and continue mixing until blended, scraping down the bowl and beater as needed. The dough will be thick and slightly sticky.

6Using a 1 1/2 tablespoon cookie scoop dipped in the powdered sugar, scoop the dough out and roll it through the powdered sugar. Place the cookie balls about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.

7Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges.
