Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tsp
    water
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1-1/2 c
    flour
  • 1-1/2 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • GLAZE

  • 1-1/4 c
    milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter, creamy

How to Make Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter, sugars and water. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture.
  2. Spread into a greased 10 X 15 inch baking pan.
    Bake at 325 degrees for 18 to 22 minutes.
  3. GLAZE:
    In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chips and peanut butter.; pour over warm bars and spread evenly. Cool completely on a wire rack before cutting.
