Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, unsalted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 large eggs, separated
- 3/4 cup blanched almonds, chopped
- 2 2/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 48 - whole unblanched almonds
How To Make glazed almond cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350-degrees.

Step 2Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in extracts and egg yolks.

Step 3Add nuts, flour and salt; mix well.

Step 4Roll into balls, dip into unbeaten egg whites (this will provide the glaze). Place on a greased cookie sheet 2-inches apart. Place a whole almond on each cookie and push down to flatten.

Step 5Bake for about 10 minutes. Makes about 48 cookies. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
