makes 3 - 5 dozen cookies

Ingredients

1 c
sugar
3/4 c
oleo
1
egg, well beaten
4 Tbsp
molasses
2 & 1/4 c
flour
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1 & 1/2 tsp
ground ginger
2 & 1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/4 tsp
salt

How to Make Gingersnaps

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream together first four ingrediants.
  • 2Sift dry ingrediants together, and add to creamed mixture.
  • 3Chill dough for 2 hours.
  • 4Form into balls, and roll in sugar (DO NOT press down).
  • 5Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. They will crack on top.
