1 1/2 tspginger, ground

How to Make Gingerbread Gypsies
- In large bowl, beat margarine and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in molasses.; Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt; Beat into creamed mixture until just combined. Form dough into ball. On floured surface, roll dough into 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out shapes.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 to 13 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom. Cool 1 minute on sheet, remove cookies to wire rack to cool completely. Frost or decorate if desired.
