ginger snaps for jam jams

My daughter likes any cookie with jam and this recipe works perfectly. You can use any jam that you have on hand. Great rainy or stormy day treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon heaping ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted shortening
  • 2 cups flour

How To Make ginger snaps for jam jams

  • Step 1
    Beat molasses, ginger and salt till foamy then add melted shortening and mix.
  • Step 2
    Add flour.
  • Step 3
    Knead dough. Add more flour if necessary. Roll thin and cut small circles. Bake for 5-6 mins at 350. Add jam inbetween cookies and squish together.
