Ingredients
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 - eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon clove, ground
- 1 teaspoon ginger
How To Make ginger snaps

Step 1In a bowl beat shortening, soft butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses and eggs beat well.

Step 2In another bowl add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Mix slowly into liquid mixture until all mixed in.

Step 3Put 1/2 cup sugar in bowl, take a teaspoonful of batter and roll into ball then in the sugar. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes. Take out of oven before they go flat.
