Ingredients

CREAM
-
1 cmolasses/sorghum
-
1 clard (no substitutions)
-
1 cbrown sugar
-
ADD
-
1 cboiling water in which 4 teaspoons baking soda has been dissolved

MIX ABOVE INGREDIENTS WELL, ADD

1 tspginger
-
1 tspallspice
-
1 tspcloves
-
4 3/4 cflour
-
1 tspcinnamon
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspnutmeg
How to Make Ginger Cremes
- Refrigerate overnight. Divide dough into 3 parts.
- Using lots of flour, roll out about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes; sprinkle with sugar before baking.
- Bake at 350 degrees on a well greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes until slightly brown on edges but still soft by the fingertip test (touch lightly, if done it will spring right back).
