Ingredients
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup ( hot ) water
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon cimmamon
- VANILLA BUTTER FROSTING
- 3 tablespoons soft butter
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon milk
How To Make ginger creams cookies

Step 1In a large bowl mix shortening, sugar, egg, molasses,and hot water together .

Step 2Blend in remaining ingredents , and cover the bowl of cookie mix with platic wrap and set in the fridge and chill for one hour.

Step 3Heat oven to 400 degrees, drop cookie dough by teaspoon 2" apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.

Step 4When cookies are cooled frost with vanilla butter frosting.

Step 5Vanilla Butter Frosting : mix the ingredents for the frosting together spread over cooled cookies, set to dry and enjoy.
