How to Make Ginger Creams
2In a large bowl cream shortening and sugar, add egg, molasses, and water.
3In a medium bowl sift together flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves.
4Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three additions until just combine.
6Drop 1tspn. of dough 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until set (almost no imprint remains when touched lightly)
7For icing combine powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, and cream wisk until smooth.
8Frost cookies while still slightly warm.
