1 pkg( 4 oz ) german sweet chocolate, broken into squares

1/2 csugar

1 tspvanilla extract

2eggs beaten

1 call-purpose flour

1/2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt
- TOPPING;

2 Tbspmelte butter

1/2 cpacked brown sugar

1 cflaked coconut
-
1/2 cchopped pecans
-
2 Tbspcorn syrup

2 Tbspmilk
How To Make german chocolate brownies

1In a heavy saucepan melt butter and chocolate; stir until smooth Remove from heat, cool slightly, Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, mix well.

2Combine the flour , baking powder, and salt, add to chocolate mixture. Pour into a greased 9" squar baking pan. bake at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until a tootpick comes out clean.

3For the topping , combine butter and brown sugar in a bowl, add the coconut, pecans, corn syrup, and milk and mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto warm brownies, spred evenly. Broil several inches from the heat for 2-4 minutes or until top is browned and bubbly. Cool on a wire rack, cut into bars.
