My Grandma and Grandpa came to the US from Poland and with then they brought recipes. This is one from there recipe book. This recipe is for ( Time after Time ) cookies

Makes about 2 dozen cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
How To Make german butter cookies

Step 1Cream butter, gradually add sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 2Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Chill for ease in handling roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut with floured cookie cutter into shapes

Step 3Bake on a cookie sheet in preheated 350 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire rack to cool
