I learned this recipe in my 7th grade Home Economics class (I won't tell you how long ago that was! LOL). It's been a favorite with the whole family ever since.

Ingredients For fudge rounds

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 3 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 3/4 c
    ground walnuts
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make fudge rounds

  • 1
    Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for one minute.

    Remove from heat and stir in oatmeal. Stir until oats are softened.

    Add nuts and vanilla, mix well.
  • 4
    Drop by tablespoons on cookie sheet and let set. Store in airtight container.
