These are nothing like the fruitcake your grandma made. This is a well blended cookie that everyone will like.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    ( 1 stick ) butter softened
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    cider vingar
  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c
    each raisins, and chopped mixed fruit
  • 1/4 c
    chopped dried pineapple
  • ·
    powdered sugar

How to Make Fruitcake Cookie

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350. grease cookie sheets, Beat sugar and butter in large bowl until creamy. Beat in milk, egg, orange juice, and vinegar until blended. Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in walnuts, raisins, mixed fruit and pineaple.
  2. Drop by rounded tablespoonful of dough 2" apart onto cookie sheet. Bake 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. Cook 2 minutes on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack, cook completely. Dust with powdered sugar. Store in airtight container.
