Growing up very poor i was taught to never throw food away because we couldn't afford to replace it. As I've gotten older, I've kept that lesson close to my heart and even being a juicer I always tried to find a way to use the pulp left over from fruits and veggies.

This is a great recipe and I've used it many times for a quick treat that's more nutritional than other cookies and uses the pulp that I'm left with from juicing.

    fruit pulp (any you like)
  • 2 c
    sugar, white
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 4 c
    flour, all-purpose
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp

  • 2 c
    chopped nuts (any)
  • 2 c
    raisins or currants

How to Make Fruit Pulp Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Mix all ingredients in order listed above.
  3. Drop by teaspoonful on a greased cookie sheet (ungreased if silicon).
  4. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
