these cookies were some of my favorites as child, my granma always made them for christmas or sometimes just because i begged her for them. :)

Ingredients

1 cup shortning
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
3 - eggs
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups fruit cocktail (drained)
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make fruit cocktail cookies

Step 1

cream together white sugars and eggs together, until light

Step 2

mix dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture
Step 3

add fruit cocktail, raisens, and vanilla
Step 4

drop by teaspoon full on a greased cookie sheet
Step 5

bake at 350 until lightly brown, remove and cool
