My mother-in-law used to make these bars...they are moist and tasty, and they never lasted very long!

Ingredients

  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    nuts, chopped

How to Make FRUIT COCKTAIL BARS

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all ingredients together, except brown sugar and nuts. Mix until well-blended.
  2. Pour into greased 13" x 9" x 2" pan.
  3. Combine brown sugar and chopped nuts. Sprinkle over top of batter.
  4. Bake @ 350°F for 30 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool; cut in bars.
