Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 - eggs
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup orange juice, fresh
  • 3 tablespoons grated orange peel
  • FOSTING
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 2-3 tablespoons orange juice, fresh

How To Make frosty's orange drop cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375.
  • Step 2
    In large bowl, combine sugar and 1 cup margarine, beat until light and fluffy.
  • Step 3
    Add sour cream and eggs, blend well.
  • Step 4
    Add all remaining cookie ingredients, mix well.
  • Step 5
    Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 376 for 8 to 11 minutes or unti edges are light golden brown, immediately remove from cookie sheets.
  • Step 7
    Meanwhile, in small bowl, blend all frosting ingredients until smooth, adding enough orange juice for desired spreading.
  • Step 8
    Frost warm cookies.
