frosted banana cookies

Here is another one of my favorite banana cookies. Banana bread is my all time favorite, so this cookie is no exception. These are tasty little jewels. They are great any time of year. I like to make these as prt of my Christmas baking.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 cup bananas mashed (about 2 medium)
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons sour cream, lite
- 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- FROSTING
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tablespoons milk (or half & half)
- 1 1/4 cups powdred sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make frosted banana cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl cream butter and brown sugar, beat until creamy. Add bananas, egg, sour cream and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed; add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, beat until well mixed.

Step 2Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2" apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely.

Step 3For the frosting, melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and half & half. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil, about a minute or 2. Remove from heat; add powdered sugar, vanilla and cinnamon; beat until mixed. Cool slightly. Frost cookies. Let stand until frosting is set.
