Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 cups oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 cup coconut, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make frogs: also known as chocolate macaroons

  • Step 1
    Measure out all the ingredients before you begin.
  • Step 2
    In heavy saucepan melt margarine and sugar. Add milk. Boil 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    Add cocoa. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, oatmeal, coconut and mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper or parchment paper.
  • Step 4
    Chill several hours before eating. Store in airtight container.
