frank's chocolaty walnut cookies
I got this recipe this Christmas, 2011 from a gentleman in South Carolina who made some Christmas gifts for me. I guess he knows how to cook also because these cookies are now one of my favorites to make and eat!

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 2 - squares unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup walnuts, broken in two (leave in chunks)
How To Make frank's chocolaty walnut cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2Into a large bowl measure first 7 ingredients. With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until blended - occasionally scrapping bowl with rubber spatula. With a spoon, stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Step 3Drop chocolate mixture by heaping tablespoon, 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet. Spread each cookie into a 2 inch round.

Step 4Bake cookies 10 - 12 minutes. With a metal turner remove cookies to a wire rack and let cool. Cookies freeze well.
