I got this recipe from my great aunt. I usually make these at the end of a day of baking. They are one of my oldest son's favorite treats. The original recipe does not call for colored sugar topping but, I add a sprinkle of colored sugar when I make them for a holiday.

Ingredients
- 2 - egg whites
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
How To Make forgotten cookies

Step 1Pre-heat oven 375. Grease cookie sheet.

Step 2At high speed, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.

Step 3Beat in sugar until stiff.

Step 4Fold in chocolate pieces.

Step 5Drop by level tablespoons onto cookie sheet.

Step 6Place in hot and oven and turn it OFF.

Step 7Let cool until room temperature.

Step 8Remove from oven.

Step 9Store in air tight container.

Step 10For the any holiday, you can sprinkle colored sugar on the top of each cookie for a festive look.
