forgotten cookies
(2 RATINGS)
These sound interesting. It's another recipe I found in the Oregon Cancer Society Cookbook that my great aunt gave me. I think I'll add them to my Christmas cookies if they turn out as good as they sound. If you try these before I do, let me know what you think. **This recipe was originally shared by Beth Moxley. Makes 50 small cookies.
Ingredients
- 2 - egg whites, beaten
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 small package chocolate chips
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
How To Make forgotten cookies
-
Step 1FIRST - Heat oven to 350 degrees.
-
Step 2In a bowl, put eggs, sugar and baking powder and beat until stiff, like meringue. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Line cookie sheet with foil. Drop by small teaspoon full. Put cookies in oven and TURN IT OFF. Forget them. Leave them in the oven for at least 10 hours, but it's best to leave them overnight.
-
Step 3I'm thinking the options are endless if you added extract or used different types of chips and nuts. Personally, I'm going to try some Orange Chocolate ones.
