1 Tbsp
cherry juice
maraschino cherries
1/2 c
white raisins or currants

How to Make English Tea Cake


  • 1Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • 2Grease and flour a small tube pan.
  • 3Cream butter and sugar.
  • 4Add eggs, beating thoroughly.
  • 5Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
  • 6Gradually add to butter mixture.
  • 7Add vanilla and cherry juice.
  • 8Fold in cherries and raisins and bake 1 1/4 hours.
