- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups flour, scant
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon cherry juice
- 12 - maraschino cherries
- 1/2 cup white raisins or currants

Step 1Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Step 2Grease and flour a small tube pan.

Step 3Cream butter and sugar.

Step 4Add eggs, beating thoroughly.

Step 5Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

Step 6Gradually add to butter mixture.

Step 7Add vanilla and cherry juice.

Step 8Fold in cherries and raisins and bake 1 1/4 hours.
