Here is another quick and easy cookie recipe. I have had it so long that I don't remember where it originally came from, but it will sure make you smack your lips with a good cup of coffee. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    water
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    pecans, very finely chopped
  • ·
    confectioners' sugar

How to Make Elegant Lady Fingers

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream butter and sugar together. Add water and vanilla. Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts.
  2. Chill for 4 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Shape cookie dough into either balls or fingers.
  4. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 325 for about 20 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly and roll in confectioner’s sugar. Store in an air tight container. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
