Sweet, tender little bites lightly spiked with nutmeg. They are so good with a cup of coffee in the afternoon or to have when the kids come home from school. My family doesn't care for eggnog but thinks these are delicious!
1Cream sugar and butter together in a large bowl until fluffy. Add egg yolks & eggnog and beat until well mixed.
2Add flour, nutmeg and baking powder to the butter mixture and beat until just blended. Cover and chill for 2-3 hours till firm.
3Pre-heat oven to 400 F. Roll dough into 3/4" balls then roll in colored sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 8-9 minutes or until the bottoms are very lightly browned. Let cool 1-2 minutes then remove cookies and place on a cooling rack till cooled. Store tightly covered.
