Ingredients
- 1 cup salted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup store bought eggnog, plain is best
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- TOPPING:
- 1/3 cup colorful decorating sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
How To Make eggnog sprinkle cookies

Step 1In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg yolks until combined. Add eggnog. Whisk together flour, baking powder and nutmeg; add to butter mixture beating until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate dough 2 hours or until firm.

Step 2Combine topping ingredients on paper plate. Roll dough into small 1-inch balls then roll in the cinnamon,colorful sugar mixture. Place balls 2 inches apart on lightly buttered cookie sheet. Bake in a 400^ oven for 8-10 minutes or until set. Cool completely.

Step 3Note: Any color cookie sugars may be used or a variety of different ones.
