Ingredients

  • 2.75 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon brandy extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum extract
  • SUGAR MIXTURE
  • 1/4 cup sugar or colored sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

How To Make eggnog snickerdoodles

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Step 2
    In 3 quart mixer bowl combine all cookie ingredients. Beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl often, until well mixed (2 to 4 minutes).
  • Step 3
    In small bowl combine sugar mixture; stir to blend.
  • Step 4
    Shape rounded teaspoonful of dough into 1\" balls; roll in sugar mixture.
  • Step 5
    Place 2\" apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Step 6
    Bake near center of 400 oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
