Ingredients
- 2.75 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon brandy extract
- 1/2 teaspoon rum extract
- SUGAR MIXTURE
- 1/4 cup sugar or colored sugar
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2In 3 quart mixer bowl combine all cookie ingredients. Beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl often, until well mixed (2 to 4 minutes).

Step 3In small bowl combine sugar mixture; stir to blend.

Step 4Shape rounded teaspoonful of dough into 1\" balls; roll in sugar mixture.

Step 5Place 2\" apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Step 6Bake near center of 400 oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
