Easy Loaded Cookie Bars

Lisa Foote

These cookie bars are delicious! They are simplified by using a cake mix for the base and adding all your favorite chips, nuts etc. You could even add holiday M&M's or your favorite candy bars chopped up! Easy to take to a potluck or office!

semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c
salted caramel or butterscotch chips
1/2 c

How to Make Easy Loaded Cookie Bars

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9X13 glass pan with PAM or grease lightly with shortening.
  • 2In a large bowl combine cake mix, eggs and melted butter. Stir just to combine.
  • 3Add chips, nuts and coconut, mix just to combine- don't over mix.
  • 4Place batter in pan and push into place, I find it easier using my hands. Even the dough out in the pan.
  • 5Bake 20-23 minutes until golden brown, do not undercook! Cool completely, cut into squares to serve.
