easy coconut macaroons

My husband loves coconut macaroons. I had somecoconut in my pantry but no recipe. I searched and found two that did not require sweetened condensed milk so I combined the two and came up with this one. They were a hit with my huaband

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 - egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make easy coconut macaroons

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In medium bowl combine coconut, sugar, flour and salt mixing to combine well. Stir in egg whites and vanilla, mixing to combine all ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Allow to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes then remove to wire rack to cool completely. Store in airtight container.
