1In lg bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat in vanilla.
2In another bowl, combine flours, salt and baking soda. Slowly beat flour mix into butter mix. Stir in crushed candy canes. Shape dough into a log, wrap w/ plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 hrs, or until firm.
3Heat oven to 375, place parchment paper down on cookie sheets. Unwrap dough, cut into 1/8"-slices. Place slices on cookie sheet. Bake 6-8 min, or until edges begin to brown.
