These are so yummy and easy to make, great w/ a cup of hot cocoa.

  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    packed, light brown sugar
  • 2
  • 1-1/2 tsp
  • 2 c
  • 3/4 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    crushed canycanes

How to Make easy Christmas peppermint cookies


  1. In lg bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat in vanilla.
  2. In another bowl, combine flours, salt and baking soda. Slowly beat flour mix into butter mix. Stir in crushed candy canes. Shape dough into a log, wrap w/ plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 hrs, or until firm.
  3. Heat oven to 375, place parchment paper down on cookie sheets. Unwrap dough, cut into 1/8"-slices. Place slices on cookie sheet. Bake 6-8 min, or until edges begin to brown.
