Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    oreo cookies
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese softened 8oz.
  • 1 c
    hazelnuts chopped fine/ divided
  • 1 tsp
    peppermint extract
  • 1 pkg
    chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp
    shortening
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c
    fresh raspberries

How to Make Easy Chocolate Mint Truffles

Step-by-Step

  1. Using a food processor,put the Oreos in and pulse until coarsely chopped,add the cream cheese,peppermint extract,1/2cup of hazelnuts,raspberries.
    Blend well until it forms into a dough like texture. Roll the cookie mix into 48 small balls and place on a sheet pan lined with waxed paper.
    Dampening your hands slightly will help during this step,the mixture won't stick to your hands as much!
  2. Melt the chocolate and shortening until very smooth.
    Using a fine toothpick or skewer,sewing needle will work too,dip each piece in the chocolate then return to the waxed paper lined pan.
    Dust each treat with the remaining hazelnut and sift some coco powder over all the treats.
  3. Refrigerate for one hour or longer,then enjoy your treats,your children and family,friends will love you even more!! Enjoy!:)
