If you love sugar cookies but don't like rolling and cutting them out, these drop sugar cookies are for you. It's a cute, festive cookie with a delicious vanilla sugary flavor. Once baked, they're soft and chewy in the center while slightly crisp around the edges. A great addition to your holiday baking recipes. They can be decorated for any holiday - Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Fourth of July, Halloween, etc.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup softened margarine
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- - colored sugar
How To Make drop sugar cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift dry ingredients together.

Step 2Cream the margarine, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract.

Step 3Beat in dry ingredients until smooth.

Step 4Blend in milk.

Step 5Drop by tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Dip the bottom of a glass in the colored sugar.

Step 6Use the glass to press the cookie dough slightly and coat the top of the cookie with the colored sugar.

Step 7Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Step 8Store cookies in a sealed container.
