dreamy blueberry meringues

We all know those meringue cookies, right? Since I have blueberry bushes which reward us with delicious berries, I thought why not make meringue cookies with them! These are so good I dream about them and that's how the name came about! Everyone loves them and it's a good way to use the blueberries!

Ingredients
- 3 - egg whites, room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh blueberries, washed and dried
How To Make dreamy blueberry meringues

Step 1In a large bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar on high until whites are foamy.

Step 2Slowly add sugar and beat on high until whites are very stiff and glossy.

Step 3Gently fold in blueberries.

Step 4Drop meringues by the spoonful onto a parchment lined cookie sheet about 2-inches apart.

Step 5Bake in a preheated 275 degree oven about 35-40 minutes or until firm to the touch, but not brown. Ovens vary.

Step 6Very important...now, turn off oven. Leave meringues in the oven and do NOT open the oven door for about 30 minutes until cool.
