I am always looking for something different to bake. I found a cookbook that was written in 1985 by Lutheran church,in this ccokbook I saw this recipe and had to try it.Oh my they were so good.Ever since then I make them on regular bases. I bet I have given this recipe to over 25 people.

real butter
1/2 c
brown sugar
1 c
1 c
brown sugar
1 tsp
2 Tbsp
1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/4 tsp
1 1/2 c
moist coconut
1 c
chopped walnuts,or any nut you preferr

How to Make Dreams


  • 1Combine first three ingredients,making a crumbly mass.
  • 2Pat into a 9x12 inch pan and bake in a 375 degree oven.for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
  • 3Sift the 2 Tablespoons of flour,baking powder,salt,over coconut and add beaten eggs;vanilla. add the cup of brown sugar and egg mixture to flour mixture. Pour over baked crust. bake another 20 minutes,in 350 degree oven.cool and cut,Dust with powdered sugar
