Ingredients

  • 2-1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, unsalted, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed (any darkness, i prefer light)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate malt drink mix

How To Make double chocolate malted chip cookies

  • Step 1
In a small bowl mix together flour, soda and salt.
  • Step 2
In a large mixing bowl beat butter until creamy. Add both sugars and vanilla and beat until smooth and fully blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing completely after each addition. Mix in malt drink mix and blend fully. Mix in flour a little at a time until all has been incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Step 3
drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 9 minutes. Remove from oven right away (the cookies are not done yet...) and sprinkle each cookie with about 1/2 teaspoon of malt mix. Leave on cookie sheet for an additional 5 minutes, then move to cool on wire rack.
