double chocolate cookies
I developed this recipe when I was having major chocolate cravings after having my daughter, It turned out way better then I could have imagined, my husband loves them and so do I, they are the perfect cookie for any chocolate lover.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- PEANUT BUTTER ICING
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 pinch salt
How To Make double chocolate cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 400.

Step 2Cream shortening and surgar, add egg mix well, add buttermilk and vanilla mix well.

Step 3Sift together dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingridients in about three additions until just combine, fold in chocolate chips.

Step 4Chill dough for 1-2 hours

Step 5Drop rounded teaspoons of dough 2" apart on a lightly greased baking sheet bake until set (almost no imprint remains when touched lightly) about 8-10 min.

Step 6For icing wisk together powdered sugar, peanut butter, milk and salt until smooth.
