I used this when I was a preschool teacher on our dinosaur week. I got the recipe off of Mrs. Bee's Busy Classroom.

1/4 c
dirt (cocoa)
1/2 c
swamp water (milk with a little green food coloring)
2 c
crushed bones ( sugar)
1/2 c
fat (butter or margarine)
2 c
dead grass (uncooked oatmeal)
1/2 c
squashed bugs (peanut butter)

How to Make Dinosaur Chow


  • 1Mix dirt and swamp water. Add crushed bones and fat. Boil about 3 minutes.
  • 2Add squashed bugs and dead grass, and stir until melted.
  • 3Remove from heat and stir until mix begins to thicken.
  • 4Drop by Tbs. onto waxed paper. Cool, eat and Enjoy!!! Kids will LOVE these.
