I found this recipe in the Gooseberry Patch Circle of Friends Cookbook Chocolate Cookie Recipes. I got the book on Amazon.com for my Kindle. At that time it was free; but I think they charge for it now. I tried the original recipe and then started substituting other flavors. Enjoy...

Ingredients

18 1/2 ounces pkg devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup oil
2 - eggs
1 cup semi=sweet chocolate chips

How To Make devilishly good chocolate chip cookies

Step 1

Mix dry cake mix and remaining ingredients.

Step 2

Drop by teaspoonsful onto ungreased baking sheets.
Step 3

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden.
Step 4

Let cool on wire racks. [I just let them cool on the pans.]
Step 5

***I also changed the favors of the cake and chips for other cookies...Carrot Cake/raisins...Yellow Cake/craisins...Strawberry Supreme/dried strawberries...Let your imagination go!
