Ingredients
- 2-1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large bananas, mashed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Step 1In a medium bowl, sift dry ingredients; set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy.

Step 3Add bananas, vanilla and butter flavoring, mixing until combined. Blend in eggs, one at a time, beating well.

Step 4Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, half at a time, beating to combine. Fold in the chocolate chips. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour.

Step 5Drop cookie dough by heaping teaspoons on prepared baking sheets.

Step 6Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove to a rack and cool.

Step 7Store cookies in a covered container up to a week.
