I found this recipe in a cookbook that I borrowed from a friend. They are very good!

  • 2 stick
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 3 c
    quick oats
  • 16 oz
    chopped dates

How to Make Date & Oatmeal Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and both sugars together. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add flour, baking soda and cinnamon and combine well. Add oats and dates and mix well.
  2. Drop by teaspoonsful onto cookie sheet, lined with aluminum foil and lightly sprayed. Bake @ 350 for approximately 11-13 minutes or until golden.
