Dark Chocolate Chunk Macadamia Nut Cookies
Feel free to use the chips (...or chunks!) of your choice. Make a lot... they'll go quickly! :) For my husband and I, I use this recipe. When the kids are home, I double it.
6 Tbspsoftened butter
1/3 cbutter flavored shortening
1/3 cwhite sugar
1/2 cbrown sugar
1 1/2-2 tspvanilla
1 1/3 cflour
1/2 tspbaking soda
2 cdark chocolate chunks or chips
1/2 cmacadamia nuts, chopped
How to Make Dark Chocolate Chunk Macadamia Nut Cookies
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet.
- Beat butter and shortening in large bowl. Add brown and white sugar beating thoroughly. Add egg and vanilla until well blended. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually, beat into batter mixture. Add chocolate and nuts by hand with a large spoon.
- Drop by rounded teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly brown.
