My Dad passed away from cancer when I was 12. About 2 years ago, my Mom found all her old recipes and I went through them all. I found this recipe in my Dad's own handwriting. Last Christmas I made them for my family and also people at work. Everybody just loved them. Here's to you Dad!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 1 cup nuts, chopped (any kind)
How To Make dad's cookies

Step 1Cream butter w/sugar and beat in egg

Step 2Mix flour, baking soda and salt

Step 3Add molasses, chopped nuts, and flour mixture to wet ingredients (butter, sugar, egg)

Step 4Mix well and drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet

Step 5Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes
