crunch jumbo chocolate chip cookies

I got this from a box of Rice Krispies back in the 70s. I like to add butterscotch chips and omit the raisins.

Ingredients

  • PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 teaspoon real vanilla
  • 2 cups kellogg's rice krispies
  • 1 - 6 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup seedless raisins (optional)

How To Make crunch jumbo chocolate chip cookies

  • Step 1
    Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Measure butter and sugar into a large mixing bowl; beat until well blended and smooth. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Add sifted, dry ingredients; mix until combined. Gently stir in Rice Krispies, chips and raisins. Drop by level measuring tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
  • Step 3
    Bake in a moderate (350F) oven about 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove immediately from cookie sheets; cool on wire racks.
